In the process and I'm so so scared. Side effect? Or anxiety?

I took the first tablet yesterday at noon-ish. And felt fine all of yesterday. Today though I feel dizzy and have moments, where if I move my head too fast, I get a low ringing in my ears. I did have a very poor and uncomfortable sleep last night, so not sure if that's the cause, like my neck was uncomfortable. I just feel really really scared that this is a side effect and I'm also worried about feeling this 'off' and starting the other tablets and feeling more pain etc whilst I already feel like this.

I'm also very anxious so wondering if that is perhaps why I feel like this. My children are leaving here to go to their dad's at 3pm and Mt partner comes home just after 4. So I'm planning on starting then.

Let me know how you get on , I’m taking the first tablet tonight .
Take it easy and stock up on pain killers & rest . Thinking of you x

GoT1904 · 01/09/2021 15:57

I honestly think I'd just given myself a panic attack!! Since then I've just laid in bed and have been reading and feel more or less fine again.

I'll be taking the next tablets soon(ish). I will stay updated. I've codeine at the ready, which I might take when the pains start. Thank you for your reply. Xxx

Honestly I think a lot is because you read it then you start to believe it’s happening . Like when you read side effects on a medication you then start thinking you’re having them .
Aww well I hope it’s as easy as it can be . Did they post you lots of pain killers ? I’ve gone private so I’m not sure what my pack contains as I know MSI & BPAS provide codiene ( amazing !) I haven’t got home yet but I know my package arrived. Xx

GoT1904 · 01/09/2021 17:21

Yeah, I think that's it too. I've been reading a lot of the posts on here too and most are very encouraging but sometimes people have a harder time of it don't they, and I think I've focused in on those.

Thanks so much. How far are you? I am, I believe, 7+2 today.

Yes I have codeine thankfully, I had some in anyway as when I get migraines they're the only thing that helps, so luckily I have more than one.

I have had the vaginally tablets in for 30 minutes now and I'm cramping and feel a bit of pressure so have taken a codeine. The nurse said (I think??) to lay for an hour, but I've re-read my leaflet and can't see that in there so not sure exactly how long I need to lay here for lol.

So far I'm uncomfortable but it's okay. Xx

I've laid down for an hour now and have just sat up. I had codeine a little while ago and feeling floaty and I think it's taken some of the pain off. I just feel like I'm about to come on my period. I'm unsure if I'm bleeding etc yet as I don't want to go and check. Xx

Aww bless you , I really hope you’re doing ok xx

GoT1904 · 01/09/2021 18:33

My bleeding had started now, but isn't even medium heavy. Cramps are manageable. Game of thrones is on. Xx

Ah so you started bleeding fairly quickly that’s good, I think that wait is the hardest part . Least when the bleeding starts you know it’s final if that makes sense I’m so scared for mine cx

Rose925 · 01/09/2021 18:58

I’m 5 + 6 so I’m hoping it won’t be too bad x

GoT1904 · 01/09/2021 19:42

Yeah, you're right. And that's good, the earlier you do it obviously the easier it should be physically. How are you feeling?

I've been sitting on the toilet for about 20 mins. I got a lot of pain and pressure in my bum, I just sat here. It kept building and building but then something passed and the pain eased massively. It is like a very light version of labour, but manageable. Xx

Is it really that bad ? Glad it was over quickly for you ! Did you take many pain killers ?
I’m going to leave first pill until tomorrow had personal issues this afternoon that needed my attention xx

GoT1904 · 01/09/2021 20:55

I don't mean it was bad like labour, just the process of like.. pains building and then passing something if that makes sense? It wasn't over that quickly unfortunately. I've just passed the pregnancy but feel like there's more to come but the pain is just period like now. Fortunately for you you're earlier so should be less to pass. It's really not been as bad as I built it up to be.

I'm sorry to hear that :( I'm around if you need a chat, or a virtual hand hold for your process xx

Get a hot water bottle op xxx

Rose925 · 01/09/2021 21:43

I’m now home just opened packet dunno if to take the pill tonight or wait until morning :(
I’m more annoyed the fact I paid 450 for these tablets and they’ve given me cocodomol!!! What a joke . When the free MSI services etc you get straight codiene xx

GoT1904 · 01/09/2021 23:13

My update is that everything has settled and passed and my bleeding is now just moderate and pains are no worse than period. I've stuffed my face with pizza and watched TV. I'm very thankful that it's over with and I can move on.

Have you anything that you need to plan around for your second dose, Rose? You've a good 24-48 hours after taking it, so it's whenever you feel comfortable really. I intended to take my pill Monday PM, but took it yesterday instead. Still with the view of using the second tablets this afternoon.

That is ridiculous actually! They will just be 8/500 won't they? You can buy them over the counter for not very much at all. Have you any ibuprofen or anything to take with them? If they agree with you, I know not everyone can take them.

There seems to be a huge backlog at the moment doesn't there with places, so if you wanted it sooner rather than later it was wise to pay. Although I'd be annoyed at the pain relief option. Xxx

Ah im so glad the worst is over . I just took the first pill Around half an hour ago I thought to myself what is the difference in taking it tonight versus tomorrow may as well get it all over and done with. You don’t actually have to wait the 24 to 48 hours it’s just to make sure that the first pill blocks the hormone enough to end pregnancy ( almost mimicking the miscarriage process ) also the risk of it not working the % goes up slightly if you take them all on same day . But sometimes they offer this option . I’m going to take second lot when I get home from my friends to pick codiene up . Xxx

Rose925 · 01/09/2021 23:38

Ps - yes they provided me with diclofenac which is a strong anti inflammatory pain killer . But I don’t trust how strong it is so I’m going to pick up the spare codiene just incase as I want it to be as pain free as I can make it , plus the beauty of codiene is how many you can take to top it up . It used to really make my surgery recoveries a breeze . Plus they make you feel lovely which helps xx

GoT1904 · 02/09/2021 00:00

Are you beginning yours tonight? I know it blocks the hormones but doesn't it also help to ripen your cervix?

It's a wise move going go pick codeine up tbf. I have floated my way through this afternoon! It does make you feel lovely indeed. Keep me updated won't you. Xxx

Yes I took the pill over an hour ago and will do the second lot Late morning (Ish) I’m alone ( the father is unaware ) we split before I found out and he isn’t the nicest of men . I still feel guilty for not saying anything but I have to remember my peace cones first and he would of made it ten times worse for me xx

GoT1904 · 02/09/2021 09:57

Ahh I'm sorry. Do you have any support? It's not an easy situation to be in and you're right, if telling him would have made everything harder then you have to do what is right for you.

I've woken up this morning with zero pain and light-moderate bleeding. It really wasn't bad at all.

My partner was here but didn't know what to do bless him, but I got through WhatsApp'ing my friend really. It made a big difference to me, even if you have someone you can chat to like that it might just make it that bit easier for you. I'm sending love and thinking about you xxx

I’m so glad that the pain and bleeding has subsided for you, a lot of my friends are aware of this situation so I’ve been talking to them I didn’t feel sick this morning so it looks like the first tablet has started to work, I normally bleed after the first tablet though. I’m now going to run a bath and then take the second lot of tablets around 11-12 ish so it gives the first tablet 12 hours of working.
I’m really hoping it’s ok xx

GoT1904 · 02/09/2021 13:14

Hiya.

I never felt sick or bled with my first tablet though and mine worked fine, so try not to worry too much. How are you doing at the moment? My bleeding is really light now!
Xxx
