Early pregnancy termination

The last time I had my period was on the 5th May and had sex on the 15 then the next morning I took a PlanB but seemingly it didn't work which I don't know why because my cycles are always regular. On the 2nd June I did a PT using clearblue digital test and it said "pregnant 2-3", I just knew I wanted termination because I tried to prevent it. On the 4th June I went to Marie Stopes and the nurse confirmed that I'm 4 weeks long. Nothing was seen on the scan but a thickened endometrium. Took the 1st pill there and the 4 pills the following day and started cramping and after an hour or so I saw a brownish discharge then later on I saw a bean sized blood clot. Since then I'm fine. No cramps or whatsoever. I don't know if it went through or not

They should have given you a pregnancy test to take after - have you taken one?

Jadewatson · 06/06/2021 09:42

No. They said I should come back in a week or two for confirmation

It should be a 24 hr service for aftercare
I'm a Bpas nurse and it sounds as if all went to plan
At such an early gestation you'd not expect to see much more but please attend for the fu
Don't buy a shop bought preg test
That could show positive for several weeks .. if you local to a Bpas clinic just walk in and ask for a LSPT we will always give you one

@jannyapple Thank you. I'll go Friday for a follow up check up

I'm sure all will be fine
Keep an eye for any signs of infection and take up the aftercare counselling if you want to talk to someone about it afterwards
Also - please consider some contraception needs to help protect you in the future ... condoms are not the best but better than nothing .. you will be ok lovely
