Termination at 4+5 , has anyone had one so early?

I found out I was pregnant yesterday, my period was due then but I had no signs and thought I’d check with a test. I may be even early in pregnancy than I thought - i was only getting very faint positives with a FRER, no other tests would pick it up.

Anyhow today I got the tablets to end the pregnancy after a telephone consultation. It seems very fast, but I am certain of my decision for many reasons and I am grateful that I didn’t have to wait at all.

I have had a termination before but I was about two weeks further on.

I just wondered if anyone had experiences at such an early time, or would it kinda be the same level I experienced before?

Yes I recently had an abortion at just 5 weeks. I panicked after because the process seemed like it didn't work at first purely because I had hardly any blood at all and my pains subsided quickly. Then after about 2 weeks I finally bled. It worked because I had a negative pregnancy test eventually.

It was such a stressful few weeks not knowing if it worked!

I ended up starting the process even earlier, taking the first tablet on Thursday. I started bleeding a little very quickly , which I thought was a bit weird.

I took the 4 tablets yesterday but nothing much happened.
I called the nurse for advice and she even questioned whether i was even pregnant. She said there would be no harm in testing again, but I explained I had positives on several different brands of tests. She suggested taking two more tablets.

Realising my faint lines on the FRER and Clearblue weren't quite as they should have been by now, I took another FRER and the line is barely there. I have to really squint to see it. It looks like I was already having an early miscarriage. I probably didn't need to take any of those tablets at all. I didnt take the extra ones.

I have just had some heavy bleeding, no cramps. I have lots of emotions right now.

It sounds confusing yes, so you must be feeling a mixture of things.

When I took my test at 5 weeks it was so strongly positive in seconds there was no question if I was pregnant. I took the tablets the very same day because for me there was no option for me to have a baby.

I was very nervous because I'm in a country where also abortion is illegal.

I was so tempted to take more tablets because like you I had little bleeding straight away, but then no more until 2 weeks later.

It's the not really knowing what's going on that's the most confusing thing.
