Please can you give some advice.
I took Mifepristone on Monday and waited almost 48 hours to take Misoprotol.

I took the Misoprostol at 10.50am yesterday morning. 4 in my mouth as directed. Almost 20 minutes in, I had really strong cramping. 4 hours later, I still had very little bleeding. Barely at all so I took the further two tablets. At this point, the pains were so bad, I had taken codine, paracetamol and ibuprofen and it didn't seem to be touching the sides. I was doubled over in pain. To the point of thinking I was going to pass out. The pain was so bad that it literally made me physically sick many times. Pains all down my thighs and into my knees. Nothing like anything I've ever experienced.

It's now almost 24 hours since taking the Misoprostol and I've still only had bleeding similar to a period. The pains have stopped but I've had no clots.

Is this normal?

Hi!
So I don’t want to worry you but I’m going through a very similar experience. I’ve given birth twice and the pain I had after taking the misoprostol was horrendous, and like you I had nothing like the bleeding I was expecting and passed hardly anything.

I was told this was normal by bpas but a few days later I felt unwell, got anti biotics for an infection and told to go back for a scan and just as I thought it hasn’t passed. They instructed me to take the tablets again and again it didn’t work, this was last week.

I’m now waiting for surgery to remove it which is happening next Thursday.

Make sure you contact the clinic where you went, and trust your instincts! Hope all goes okay xx
