Was wondering if anyone has had prolonged bleeding following an abortion?
Sadly I had to have a medical abortion just over 5 weeks ago.
Since then I have had heavy bleeding; the first week I had a few accidents as the blood was to fast and to heavy to have time to soak into a pad.
The bleeding has been consistent, as in I was having gushes of bleeding mainly in the afternoon, after dinner, first thing upon getting out of bed in the morning and if I coughed too hard.
The bleeding has tapered off a lot in the last week and I’m not bleeding anywhere near as heavily as I was. The bleeding is now more akin to my regular periods.
Over the last few days I’ve experienced some pulling in my lower abdomen and it hindered me when walking yesterday and following that I passed some more blood an hour or so later.
Wondering if this is normal or if I should worry if it is retained products?
Or could this be my period now?
I do have a follow up appointment booked where I’m sure they will be able to provide all the answers I require big just wondered if anyone could give me some positive experiences?
Is this just my body getting back to normal?
