Bleeding after surgical abortion

Hi!
Could anyone share their experience of a surgical abortion. The information available online is so basic!
I had a surgical abortion almost two weeks ago now, I bled a little at first and then it slowed right down to pinky discharge. Then today (day 12 after abortion) the bleeding has picked up again, is bright red and like a normal period.
I have health anxiety so even normal bodily functions can trigger me and make me worry!
Could anyone please share their experience to allow me to know if this is normal. I don’t want to go calling anyone if it’s all fine!

Hi @MrsRNH. I had nothing for 2 weeks then bam horrible heavy period for a week and a half, then a bit of spotting for a few days. I normally have really heavy periods anyway but just kept an eye that I wasn't soaking more than they say you should. X

Knowing that someone else has experienced something similar is so comforting - there’s very little information available online apart from the basics given to you by clinics.
The bleeding had actually stopped for a day and started up again this evening!
I assume it may also have something to do with having the copper coil fitted at the same time.

MrsRnh, how long did the bleeding last? Im 2.5 post abortion and experiencing bleeding like a period.
