Medical termination question

Hi all, I’m just looking for people’s experience with the first tablet, mifepristone. I need to take this tablet first and then the 4 misoprostol 24 hours later.
My question is do you think the first tablet will have any effect on me if I take it tonight and go to work tomorrow? Is it going to make me bleed? I couldn’t face having to make excuses at work if I bleed heavily. But I’m also wanting to have as little time off work as possible to avoid awkward questions from my boss. Thank you

The first tablet stops the growth so shouldn't cause any affects.
It's the second tablet that brings on the termination and I would suggest staying home for this as you will bleed and cramp a lot. I suggest fluffy pyjamas and a hot water bottle and your favourite foods when you take the second tablet ❤️

@indigo27 thank you so much for the fast reply. Yes I have Thursday and Friday off work so I was hoping to get this first tablet out of the way now so that I can take the second tablets when I get home from work tomorrow evening to give myself a better chance at feeling able to go to work on the Saturday. I had a telling off from my boss when I had the morning off to visit the clinic for a scan and to pick up the tablets so I’m trying to do everything I possibly can to make sure it runs smoothly. I feel a lot more relaxed about taking it tonight now, thank you ❤️

Yeah as above: first one ends the pregnancy the second lot evacuates the pregnancy.

@indigo27 I may take you up on that I’m doing it alone and I’m feeling quite nervous about the second tablets. I’ve told one friend and she’s been supportive but she has a young child herself or she would have came round and sat with me. X

Hi @indigo27 thank you for checking in everything seems to have gone to plan. I took the first tablet Tuesday night and I just had light bleeding and period type pains during the day on Wednesday but nothing unbearable. I then had the second tablets Wednesday night after work, I slept all night and when I woke in the morning the bleeding was a bit heavier but not too bad and I passed 3 small blood clots. I’m going back to the clinic today to have the implant fitted and they have said they will do a quick scan to check how everything is because I’m slightly concerned at how light the bleeding was. I just need reassurance that it’s complete. I was only 5 weeks so I’m hoping that because it was so early that may be the reason it wasn’t very heavy xx
