Positive abortion story

I don’t know if positive is the right wording - but I know when I was waiting to have my medical abortion in November all I was doing was seeking out people who had been through the same thing to read story’s of what they went through during the process, after and also before. I just wanted to pop a thread up if anyone wants any support or advice looking for a positive experience give me a message. Don’t get me wrong - it was a situation I never thought I’d have to be in with a choice I had to make. But at the time it was the only option. So reach out if you need to. I had a very textbook experience much like many people do including the dealing with the aftercare teams. The bad experiences of medical termination definitely DO happen but I’m here to reassure. My thoughts with anyone having a difficult time at the moment x

@mamof it can be terrifying and guilt ridden to only read bad experiences. X

Thanks for replying, Yes especially when it's still so raw and emotional mine was in December, definitely helps to see the positove posts where others have been through it X

Great thread idea. I had a medical abortion a long time ago. It was difficult emotionally but the care I had from NHS staff - all women - was absolutely wonderful. I still haven't forgotten any of them.

Abortion is a vital healthcare procedure but a right we had to fight for and we should never take it for granted.
