Am I still pregnant

Am looking for advice, I am 16 days past medical termination. Had I carried on my pregnancy I would be 12 weeks on Monday. So I was 9 + 4 at the time I took my first tablet, could it just be taking longer for my hormones to leave my body or could it be I am still pregnant ? I’m so worried

They do advise about this in the leaflets you get in the pack. Can you dig them out?

Also there is a special test which is not like the shop bought ones, I think it must be rest sensitive. Try that? Hope it helps

Did the clinic not give you a specific test to take?

I was give a high hcg test to take 14 days after. Had I taken one like this I was told it would still show positive.

I suspect if you’re using a shop-bought test you’ll need to wait a bit longer for a negative result OP

The instructions are usually to repeat 3 weeks after I think. Have you bled/ are you still bleeding?

Longer than what? How long did they say that it would take before your hcg is below 5?

I took a pregnancy test what felt like ages after a miscarriage and was still testing positive, so I would imagine it's just taking a while. I would check with your abortion provider if possible.

To be clear- taking a while for your
hormones to settle down.

Hi it was a check4 test which I was sent. I took it day 16 so more then 2 weeks. I only had one test in the pack so won’t be able to retest only a regular test which would obviously show a positive. I just wondered if anyone else had tested positive but it been ok . I will have to ring the clinic I’m just avoiding it at the moment ...

Also yes I have brown more then a discharge Sorry tmi

Yeah the check4 test is a higher hpt, sorry you’ll need to call the clinic, I hope it’s nothing !

I had a medical termination a few yrs ago and continued to bleed and kept getting positive pregnancy tests 3 weeks after. Turns out I had retained products.

If you're still bleeding and especially if you start to pass clots then just something to be aware of.

Probably retained products, you need to contact your abortion provider and have a scan
