Termination with pulmonary embolism

To cut a long story short, I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant. Totally unplanned and the termination has now been put on hold.

I've just been discharged from hospital as I became incredibly unwell due to a massive bilateral pulmonary embolism (blood clots in my lungs). I almost died and spent a week in ICU. Had a huge bleed in A&E after a blood thinner was injected into my stomach & I passed a large substance later on. A miscarriage was assumed. The next morning, I was scanned and they found the baby to be complete viable. It broke my heart to see this tiny baby alive and well.

I've already had to put the termination on hold several times due to staff shortages at my local BPAS - hence now being 11 weeks.

I'm now on blood thinners to help recover from the PE and I have a phonecall appointment with BPAS on Friday.

I'm absolutely terrified.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on PEs and needing surgery? Can they refuse? Is it too risky?

Thank you for reading x

Is it Wietnam reconsidering having the baby? It may be the best thing for your health as well.

Typo!!! Meant is it WORTH reconsidering

Oh you poor thing. Firstly I'm sorry you're going through this, scary time to be poorly. I'm not quite sure if you're saying you now want the baby but are worried it will be hurt in the operation? Sorry if I've missed something. I don't have any experience in PE but if you want to keep the baby now speak to your consultant ASAP (even if you are not 100% sure yet) as there may be a different path for you to take
