Physical symptoms 3 weeks post abortion

I had a medical termination 3 weeks 4 days ago, i was 5 weeks. I was told to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after and it came back positive - had blood test and hcg was 500 which they weren’t concerned about and said it should be coming down so all is fine. But this week I’ve been so bloated, and constipated, is this normal? Did anyone else have any symptoms for this long afterwards 🙁 paranoid it hasn’t worked properly but I haven’t had any bleeding for a while now and only pain is because I’m so bloated and uncomfortable

I’ve started bleeding this afternoon, I was driving an felt a warm gush down below and it was loads of bright red blood 😞 I’ve been passing clots. And now I’ve stood up after being sat down for a few hours and I’ve had another big gush of blood which has soaked through the pad and my knickers. Sorry for the tmi just a little worried when I haven’t had any bleeding for a while until today

I experienced this and it turned out I had retained products. I needed to go to hospital and they scanned me and I was given the option of surgery to remove it or tablets.
Can you call back the clinic where you originally went?

@Lostoldusername I phoned last night but it was the out of hours ward and they just said if it gets heavier or feel light headed to go to the out of hours gp. I’m worried I have retained products coz pregnancy test was still positive and hcg 500 and now I’m bleeding. The nurse said that my hcg level was fine though 🙁 maybe I’ll ring the actual clinic I went to tomorrow when they open. Did you have to go in for a scan? x

Yes I went in, they examined me, scanned me then gave me the tablets. I was kept in hospital for 2 nights and then went back 2 weeks later for another pregnancy test and scan to confirm it had all gone.
