What is everyone's experiences with a medical or surgical termination at 9 weeks. I'm really unsure which one to choose. It will be done through BPAS. Thank you

I chose surgical and was the same weeks as you, my sister put me off having medical which she had experienced years ago , main reason for me is I really didn’t want to have the abortion and I don’t think mentally I wld have been able to have medical but everyone thinks differently, BPAS were very professional and i was given all my options, i chose conscious sedation which Im really glad i did

I got knocked out for surgical. I knew I was absolutely doing the right thing but I just didn't want to have any unpleasant memories.

I had a medical at almost 8 weeks - my nhs trust has a cut off of 9 weeks before you have to have a surgical termination. It wasn’t pleasant but it wasn’t bad either once the first day way over. I took stugeron tablets before I took the second medicine at home to prevent sickness.
