Levonelle question

Hi I wasn't sure where to post this but I have a quick question. Long story short I made a mistake and decided to take levonelle. The night in question I was 2 days post ovulation, according to an app that I keep very up to date (but I do understand the accuracy is limited). On researching, the pill only delays ovulation, so surely it will have made very little difference? I'm now super worried about the complications that may have been caused by me taking it on top of possibly being pregnantSad I am very much a worrier (also young and inexperienced- doesn't help does it!) so I'm finding it hard to not think about this.

I suppose I just want to know if there is any chance it could have worked, and if not what my next steps should be.

How long ago did you dtd?
It is possible to have a coil fitted as emergency contraception up to five days after.
It is quite unlikely that the map will work, but then also a chance you won't conceive anyway.
If you do and decide to go ahead with the pregnancy the MAP won't do any harm at all. Don't worry about that aspect.
Hope it all works out ok for you.

In terms of next steps, get a pregnancy test, cheap ones are just as good, and test when your period is due. Even a few days before.
If it is positive go to see a nurse at GP surgery or sexual health clinic to find out about your options.
How old are you? Do you have someone supportive to talk to IRL?

dtd friday early hours so within the 5 days. However, I am travelling abroad tomorrow for 4 days so really don't know if I could squeeze an appointment in, and I should do far more research (I have read so many bad things about the coil, mainly the hormonal one, so would need a little more time to consider.) This has happened at the worst time Sad I am 19 and luckily have good friends around me but this isn't something I could talk to my mum about- the judgement would be never ending (not a boyfriend, was super intoxicated etc.)

Thanks so much for the quick response, I am feeling calmer and will maybe talk to someone IRL tomorrow.

If it is possible for you to get to a clinic tomorrow and get a coil, please don't let the 'heard bad things' stop you doing this.
The coil is a widely used and effective form of contraception. And as with every method, it doesn't suit everyone. If you are able to get it as emergency contraception now but don't want it long term for whatever reason you can always have it taken out quite easily.

111 might be able to advise.
Good luck!

It's the copper coil that's used for emergency contraception. But only within 5 days of DTD. If this is an option you want to consider then HURRY!

Nowhere seems to be open on Sundays Sad My flight is at midday so even if they were open there is no chance of any appointments being available as early as i'd need. I think I have resigned myself to a couple of weeks of stress and will test when due next. I'm so silly. Argh. Thanks again.
