Vasectomy at 22?

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post.

Me and my partner have been together for 5 years, both 22. We have a son aged 2 and a newborn daughter. We are 100% sure we don't want anymore children, especially now we have one of each. I really don't want to go on any contraception, my body doesn't deal with it well. I was really depressed when on the implant and bled almost every day. I've made it clear I don't want anything in my body again. He would happily have a vasectomy but we've been told by family members that doctors will refuse because of how young he is. Is this true? Has anyone else oh had one this young?

I don't know if it's the same in every area but my DH was refused in 2013 because we were under 30 and not married which they seemed to think meant that he could just bugger off and change his mind if he met another woman. We were arranging a wedding, had 2 kids and been together 12 years at the time!

He finally got the snip this year though!
