How long did you bleed for after an abortion?

I had an abortion just over 3 weeks ago but I’m still bleeding every day. Most looks like normal blood but there is still some tissue looking small bits coming out too.

Is this normal? The nurse said I would bleed for up to two weeks.
Not sure if im being extra anxious over it.

Two weeks here but it was a very long time ago and a surgical for medical reasons. Did you go to a clinic or the hospital? I would give the place a call and check as you need to ensure there is nothing retained/infection. Just to be super sure.

I had a medical abortion through BPAS. I will give them a ring later, I have the kids with me all the time at the moment so just haven’t got round to calling them.

Did you manage to call them? Hope all is ok

No not yet, my kids have been hanging off me every second of the day so far. One is old enough to listen in so I’m very wary of him finding out. Will ring tomorrow morning before their dad goes to work.
I feel ok so I’m sure it’s nothing terrible going on inside but it’s just worrying me a bit. I did the termination test and it came up as a termination failure but tbh it still felt very early to test it.
