Abortion advice - two week wait

Hello

I'm looking for some advice. I'm five weeks pregnant and my partner and I have agreed to have a termination. It's the right thing for us at this stage and we are both comfortable with our decision.

We have to wait two weeks for the appointment. I wanted to know, should I carry on as normal - I.e. not avoiding certain foods, alcohol, caffeine etc. or should I continue to be cautious until my appointment?

I realise this sounds naive, but two weeks is a long time when you're waiting for something like this and I'm not sure what to do.

I'd appreciate advice from others who've been through the same.

Thanks

Carry on as normal if you are sure you aren't going to continue with the pregnancy. If you aren't sure then I'd take the same precautions as you would during pregnancy.

Thanks. Although it sounds silly and obvious, that's actually really helpful.

I've recently gone through this
I stayed cautious
It's very very much a personal thing
Please dont feel bad with what I say but I wanted the bean to feel loved
Purely my own thought and reasons
Your heart will tell you what is best

I am also on a two week wait. In fact only 8 days now. I've chosen not to party and drink but only because I don't feel like it...

Ah @oreoxoreo we're in the exact same position then. I'm also feeling really shattered now, but I'm starting to get a bit bored. I really just want it to be over now.

I had a two week wait and had to go to a party where I drank, not a lot but my word I felt ill for it!

Pregnancy can make your immune system dip a bit so you're more likely to get food poisoning.

I'd follow the food rules as they're mostly about avoiding things like listeria and salmonella.
