Failed medical abortion twice, what do I do?

Please can anyone offer me some advice? I had an appointment with bpas at 5 weeks, the nurse could not see a yolk sac and as I had stomach pain sent me to the epu. I was so upset because I have not told any of my family and really did not want this on my medical notes. The hospital did a scan and also couldn't see a yolk sac, I had a big bleed there and they said possible miscarriage. Back to the hospital at 6 weeks, scan and told viable pregnancy. Bpas again at 7 weeks for a medical termination, lots of bleeding (No clots) and a fair amount of cramping, 2 weeks later test is positive. Back to bpas, told I should now be 10 weeks, but foetus measure 7 weeks, given more tablets-literally nothing has happened. I have another scan in 2 days and told I can have 1 more try at the medicine or it's a surgical, as I have no one to take me I won't be allowed the sedative. I am so so scared, does anyone have any advice?

I'm so sorry, this must be nightmare for you Flowers

I have no experience, but am sure you will get advice soon. Where are you? There may be a MNer in your area who could go along with you so you could have the sedative?

Thankyou.I'm in Sussex, I just feel so guilty, it was such a hard decision to make and I'm questioning if it was the right one.

I'm not surprised you're second-guessing yourself, it's turned into such a horrible drawn-out experience for you. Try to go easy on yourself, this is really traumatic, especially if you're on your own. Hang onto the reasons you had for making the decision in the first place. You've nothing to feel guilty about. It will be over soon and then you can start healing and recovering. Flowers

I'm so sorry you're going through this op
Its a tough decision to make without medical complications on top.

Just wondering though, I'm Irish and had to travel to the uk for a termination. I travelled alone and I was able to be sedated. I had to stay at the clinic for a couple of hours and then I flew home that evening.

Not to scare you OP but I had a failed medical abortion that didn’t take effect for two weeks. If you have the surgery you could say someone’s collecting you after or arrange a taxi? Please discuss this with the staff and see what options you have. Flowers
