Failed abortion?

Hi, I had a medical abortion 3 weeks ago. I was just under 6 weeks pregnant and had all the tablets in one day. I started bleeding after 3 hours and lost a few large clots, I bled a lot that night then it slowed down for a week.

I took the test they gave me at 2 weeks and it was positive, I took a normal one on Sunday and it was a stronger positive than when I found out I was pregnant.

I’m so worried :( I have a scan on Thursday :(

Has anyone been through this?

you need to go back to your doctor. They may need to do a surgical one or give you another scan to determine xx

I’m having a scan on Thursday. I really don’t want the surgical one, would they do the medical again?

So sorry you're going through this. You might have seen some of my previous posts I have had a failed surgical abortion. Bled very heavily 4 weeks after and had positive pregnancy test. The fact you're getting a scan is great. I think if it's less than 5mn (sorry unsure exactly) then they can give you the tablets again or wait for your period.
If you get any serious cramping or bleeding before your scan (happened to me) go to A&E. Also ask them to take swabs if you do infact have retained products as they call it. Because it almost always causes an infection. Good luck dear 💖

Iv been for a scan, I have a scan but no baby. Iv got to take a second lot of misprostol. X

I’m in so much pain, took tablets at 6 and still not bleeding, just cramping
