Abortion procedure?

Hi I'm looking for some advice on what actually happens when you have an abortion. What sort of time scale are you looking at for the procedure to be completed in? Do you make an appointment with your regular doctor to discuss it or with a midwife? And do you have to have a scan before an abortion is carried out or can you just have the abortion?

I'm in two minds about my pregnancy due to my first born currently being only 4 and a half months old. I think having more information about the abortion procedure would help me make my decision.

Thanks, B x

Hi, check out the BPAS website which should explain everything. I’ve just self referred to BPAS and made an appointment, although I’m having to wait 3 weeks as that’s the earliest they can do. There’s also Marie Stopes you can self refer to, depending on where you live.
