Hi there,

Can anyone let me know if there are health insurers in the U.K. Which cover the cost of a c section (scheduled) and privately in central London?

I need new private medical insurance and I would like to include this in my options.

Thank you

I think it's only if it's an emergency.

Yes I think so too from looking on the website.
If I don't have a complicated pregnancy I may just leave it and use Tonbridge Wells. I've heard amazing things about it.

Having given birth at Tunbridge Wells hospital 5 times, and 2 of those experiences being dreadful, I'm fairly sure it doesn't compare to a private birth ....
it's true it's all individual rooms but the standard of care can be erratic .
