Same day medical?

Has anyone had one? If so I have some questions please:

  • does second lot of pills have to be 6 hours later?
  • when they're inserted vaginally, is it just as high up as they can go? Scared I will do it wrong
  • how early has anyone had it done? I think I will be 3 weeks since conception therefore 5 weeks in medical terms I guess, terrified they will turn me away and I will have to live in pure anxiety for two more weeks

Thank you really appreciate it

Hi I had a same day medical abortion. To answer your questions per my experience:

  • no I don't believe the pills have to be taken 6 hours apart. I had mine together however I think a gap increases the success rate.
  • I assume you just put the vaginal tablets as high as they will go however I had the option of the nurse doing it for me as I didn't want the abortion but partner did so didn't want him accusing me of "doing it wrong"
  • I don't know but I believe they need to see the pregnancy in a scan first. I went at six weeks and it wasn't easy for them to find I had to have an internal scan but it probably depends on the position.
