Could I be pregnant?

Hi all,
Didn't know where post was best to put so thought his was best.
Ok, came off the pill in October, had unprotected sex (anal, and withdrawal method) with my bf shortly after.
Period came in November and December...I also have IBS.
Now have severe cramps and tender breasts as well as feeling of period arriving.
Is this pill withdrawal or pregnancy? Period is due and have been feeling cramps for about two weeks...
Is it possible to be pregnant from October having had two periods?
I know no one can answer directly hoping someone may have a similar situation!
I don't know if what im feeling is IBS symptoms, pill withdrawals, pregnancy or period pains....have taken pregnancy tests most recent last Friday and every one has come off negative.
Just want some advise or input as hoping not pregnant...just want to put mind at ease as read lots of horror stories online about pregnancy with periods, pregnancy with false tests etc.
Thanks in advance.

You've posted this already?

If you got pregnant in October you'd definitely get positive tests by now, I would have thought...

Yes I did, didn't see this page previously. Think best suited here.

Thanks BrutusMcDogface,
Not sure now if the periods before were real or perhaps due to coming off the pill....

No. Highly highly unlikely.

I always assumed anal was a bad ideal for someone with IBS not that I think about these things much.

Fructis57 · 08/01/2018 20:18

Also heard a hormone imbalance could cause a negative result.
Could coming off the pill do that?

No OP, do you want to be pregnant but hormone imbalances causing negative results? If you've a bad enough hormone imbalance that it affects your HCG you won't get pregnant at all.

I really really don't think you're pregnant. You're focusing on the one in ten thousand chance when it's 99% likely you aren't pregnant.

alltalknobaby · 08/01/2018 20:29

Negative tests = not pregnant

Fructis57 · 08/01/2018 20:37

UnitedKungdom I read that perhaps my symptoms could be caused by a hormonal imbalance which is a result of coming off the pill etc.
Certainly don't want to be pregnant, I know I might be stressing over nothing but I just wanted to be sure, thanks.

Have you had unprotected (withdrawal doesn't count) since then?

Fructis57 · 08/01/2018 21:01

Not since October & certainly won't be again!

This is the topic for support around termination of pregnancies.

Are you concerned that an undiagnosed pregnancy could actually taking you over the legal limit for the procedure in UK?

With two normal periods and negative tests, it sounds to me highly unlikely that you are pregnant. That of course assumes you have not been sexually active since the events you describe (as all forms of contraception have a failure rate).

As you say you are having crappy symptoms, it might be worth seeing your GP to find out if there is anything which needs investigation (any change in vowel habit? bloating?)

Fructis57 · 08/01/2018 21:13

Apologies if posted on wrong page, fairly new to site and hope no offence caused.
I know highly unlikely guess just wanted advise as know it is not impossible.
Think will visit gp as soon as possible. Thanks for reading and sharing. x
