Can I have advice regarding my options for TFMR please

Got the results of my Harmony test today and sadly the baby has shown to have Edwards Syndrome. I've been told the NHS need to conduct a CVS to confirm the findings and then we go from there.

Because I'm 14.5 weeks currently surgery isn't an option. Can I ask what my options are through the NHS? Also if I opted to go private would I have a bigger range of options?

My concerns are to my mental health primarily. I have two healthy children and three miscarriages behind me. I want to go for the option of least amount of pain if possible as I'm scared they will just give me those tablets and send me home.

Can anyone advice?

I'm so sorry. Flowers
I had a tfmr at Marie Stopes at 14 weeks, the NHS could only offer medical management but MS and bpas do surgical at that gestation if you want.
Antenatal results and choices charity may be able to help.

Firstly op , I'm very sorry for what you're going through.

I can only advise based on my own experiences but the options for me (nhs) were labour and delivery or d and c.

We opted for l and d (at about 20 weeks) and whilst it was a full labour and induction we had he option to hold our baby and in a strange kind if way feel like we were giving her all we could. It was as painful as a normal labour though.

I have no judgement either way for what others decide as nothing feels 'right' when you are enduring this difficult time.

Please pm me if you want op. I'm not sure I can help but the support is there.

Take care Flowers

Chris that would definitely be my preference. Can I ask how much that cost?

I've spoken to Marie Stopes today and unfortunately they don't cover my area. Theyve advised I go to my GP and ask if there are any abortion clinics contracted to them.
