Possible Downs baby

Hi,

I'm currently awaiting NIPT results to establish if my baby has a high risk of Downs. The QUAD test came back one in 15.

I'm not thinking of terminating but I would like to know what would happen if I did. I know that sounds odd.

Would I have to give birth to it? I'll be 16 weeks very soon.

Does anyone know? For some reason I don't want to Google it.

Hello. Hope you are ok and results came back OK. Termination is one option. I was in a similar situation a few years ago, and chose to TP (multiple problems). I was 17w and had to give birth. Like I said, that was 6 years ago so if you were to be in that position, there may be other methods nowadays. Good luck

Thank you for replying. Not expecting the results until Thurs. Sorry you had to go through that, it's what I was expecting it would be.

If you want to you can have a surgical abortion even at 16 weeks, I googled it for you. Hope that helps.

Results all came back fine, one in a million for all 3 chromosomal disorders, so relieved.
