So. I realise I have taken risks here, and I haven't come here to be bashed, I just need to vent.
I've just had my 3rd implant (would be my 8th year with an implant in this year) taken out (last Friday) as it was making feel very very hormonal and not very well at all (anxiety/crying/unable to manage)
I am epileptic and I take 100mg BD toperimate to control my seizures.
This leads me to my issue in hand.
My fiancée and I had unprotected sex twice, once on the night after I'd had the implant taken out and once yesterday. The first time I was bleeding quite heavily, a bit like a period I guess. To be honest, I was really very horny and it was a joy to be naturally turned on again, it's been so long (the implant killed off my sex drive)
I'm not sure what to do. I'm due to get married soon.
When will I know if I'm pregnant?
What do I do if I am?
My head is a little bit of a mess.
Thanks for reading. :)

When did you have it taken out? I doubt you could get pregnant when you had just had it taken out.

It was the 3rd Feb...

Wait 2 weeks after the last time you had sex to test. I got a positive 11 days after having it out. Fingers crossed you get the answer you want.

If you don't want to be pregnant then I'd get the MAP tomorrow as protection from yesterday.

I don't really know what answer I want.
I'm broody at times, but it's not really the right time for a baby practically speaking.
DP would ideally like to be married for a couple of years before we have DC... is there ever a right time to have a baby? I'm not sure I could handle the emotional implications of a abortion.

I was up in the night thinking last night.
DP knows there's something's wrong.
But I can't tell him what it is, when I hardly know myself. X

If your partner knew you had the implant taken out then he must know you had unprotected sex so a chance you could be pregnant. If you're getting married I would just talk to him, tell him how you feel and discuss what you would do together. If he's an arsehole about it then maybe he isn't worth marrying,

You need to call your GP and get an urgent appointment. Topiramate is very dangerous to a foetus and pregnancy hormones can increase your risk of seizures. As you are epileptic you might not be able to get a MAP over the counter from the pharmacist. Whatever you decide you're going to need specialist medical input and advice, so your GP is the place to start.
