Having nightmares about an upcoming abortion

I'm 18, due to have an abortion on the 16th and I'm about 10 weeks gone now, I keep having nightmares about it, I'm super scared, is having the surgical abortion so they'll put me to sleep and do it surgically.

I'm terrified

What are you particularly scared about? Everything? Fear of the unknown? Do you have real life support?

I've been through it (twice), in different clinics. Both times the staff were lovely and couldn't have been more supportive and caring. The procedure itself was fine, obviously you won't know anything about it as you'll be asleep. I hardly got any bleeding and just some mild, period pain type cramps.

Is it more the emotional side you are worried about? That, for me, was a lot harder to deal with. It won't be the most joyous day of your life, but if you're sure that you are doing the right thing, it does get easier, and one day you'll be able to look back and still maybe feel a bit sad but know that you did it for the right reasons.

I had a surgical termination on Tuesday. No, it wasn't wonderful. I was awake and in sedated so I could drive after. But. The staff were wonderful and it wasn't as bad as I feared.

Five days on and whilst I'm still emotional, physically I'm much better. I have stopped bleeding and the pain has gone. My main feeling after was relief, tinged with sadness. I break into tears easily, but I know what I did was right for me.
