Medical 2nd appt yesterday advice?

Hi,
I had the second part of a medical abortion yesterday morning ( took tablets in side of cheek at 11) and suffered with heavy bleeding and contraction like pain about an hour and a half later but no large clots to speak of. It went on all through yesterday but by ten ish the pain had died down and the bleeding had eased. It was only ever really when I stood up I would get a little rush.
I'm so worried that I'll have to end up going back and won't find out until the end of March when they said to do my first pg test. Do you always know when it's gone? I'm hoping that maybe I just didn't realise. Today the pain has subsided.
Does anyone have any experience of this or ny advice? I've never done this before and found th decision incredibly traumatic. I held on to the idea it would all be over yesterday.
Thanks in advance.
X

Sorry to hear what you are going through. I think everyone differs tbh. I never felt that gush and pouring out that I was to,d about, I also didn't look at the toilet but I do recall a few days later a circular type clot I think think but that ws only as I glanced and quickly looked away. Please do keep an eye on things, Medical option is def not an "easy " option, as its dragged out more than the other. I'm 7 wks on and still testing pg, I've had blood taken, scans and given more pills due to retained tissue, next step is surgery. So a nightmare in my case. Like you, I hoped it would all be over with few days.

I'm sure what you are experiencing is fine, if unsure call the helpline for clinic and I hope you are ok ?? its traumatic enough without all the worrying isn't it

Thank you, I called the helpline this morning and was assured it's completely normal and to call back in two weeks if nothing happens in that time. I'm sorry you're having such a tough time of it.
I agree it's not the easy option, certainly doesn't feel like it right now anyway. I need to go back to work and I'm petrified that something happens whilst I'm out. Just feel frustrated that if it hasn't worked you have to wait so long to do anything about it. All the advice and fact sheets say "most " people complete the main process on 5-6 hours going up to a couple of days.
I'm just exhausted from the whole thing. My mouth still hurts and is covered in ulcers. Thanks so much for replying, I hope it's all over for you very soon.

I'm sure you'll be fine, if you were going to "gush" you would've by now I would imagine. Thank you for your wishes
