5 weeks after a medical and still testing positive?

I just wondered if this has happened to anyone else on here and if you can reassure me.

I had a medical termination 5 weeks ago at 7 wks and am still showing up a strong positive when I test. I don't feel pregnant anymore, other than constipated and hormonal. I spoke to bpas who don't sound overly concerned and offered a scan which I'm loathed to do as really don't want the 3 hour round trip again. I've spoken to my doctor who does want to take a blood sample and then will send me for a scan at local hospital if levels still high.

I'm just so scared that I'll have to go ahead and have the surgical aswell, it's all been upsetting enough without having to go through more. Has anyone else had this?

can you go to your nearest epu? they don't give out scans willingly but if you explain the situation they should at the very least give you a blood test which will show how high/low your hcg levels are?

Thank you, yes all sorted now, endless scans, blood and repeat medication and finally surgury, all been very upsetting. Thank you for replying
