Hi all,
has anyone developed a cervial polyp during their pregnancy. I developed it around 9/10 weeks, and it has descended lower into my vagina.

Now at 12 weeks its sticking out of my vagina lips. I can feel it when I wipe after using the toilet. I have had bleeding from it and but not from anywhere else, so i know the baby is okay.

My questions is has anyone had a cervial polyp removed during there pregnancy? Its been a real downer for my pregnancy dealing with this.

Hi. I had one during my pregnancy and had bleeding with it as well. Despite my extreme worries everything worked out fine and baby was born full term. She’s 6 months old now. Stay strong! Everything is gonna be fine.

Hi there, I had one when pregnant with my first. It caused recurrent heavy bleeds at 17 weeks and 19 weeks. After the second bleed, I was referred on the two week wait to colposcopy and saw a consultant who said as it had grown so large (6cm!), it needed removing as there was a risk of infection as it was bleeding. I had it removed at 26 weeks and after that had no more bleeding, it was a huge huge relief. It was so stressful always worrying about when the next bleed would be and having to get checked out each time x

I wanted to have it removed as well because of the constant bleeding and stress but the gynaecologist said they prefer to leave it alone as it might disturb the pregnancy 😣. I had constant bleeds as well. But finally I made it full term despite fears of pre term labour.

Hi, I m the original poster but got locked out!

Turns out it was it a cervical prolapse. My cervix was hanging outside my vagina opening and I had constant spotting after a BM. This was at 12 weeks and by 15 weeks I had a pessary ring inserted and have had no bleeding since. I'm now 21 weeks and I don't even feel it up there. BM's are still an issue as I have to take movicol sachets every 3 days. Taking them makes sure I don't strain anything and I was recently told that it was good practice for post birth BM's. Interesting thing I was told was that when they take the ring out at 37/38 weeks gravity will do its thing.

I just wanted to update this so if many women are going through something similar my story can direct them in some way.

Also want to add that with the prolapse I had a natural delivery that was on 6 hours. Haven't seen the results yet only 6 weeks postpartum.
