I had a 3d scan at 24 weeks and it was so amazing, I could see my baby yawn and suck her thumb, and got some really beautiful pictures and moving images. I was so pleased i had done it, it was so much better than the hospital scans. I thought I might be a bit freaked out by it, the other images I had seen on websites etc of other peoples babies made feel a bit ill, but when it was my own and I could see her moving in real time and feel the movements inside me at the same time it was totally different. Also I think it's a really nice thing to have to show your child when they are older, it must be quite fascinating to see what you looked like in the womb in so much detail. Go for it!

I don't really like them at all, I think they look a bit alien-like and all the same, so I didn't go for one. I don't really see how it would have helped us to bond.

I wanted it all to be a complete surprise, and I don't regret it. I wanted to see what she looked like when she was born and here in real life, instead of a fuzzy sneak preview - to me it's like watching a film that hasn't come out yet on a bad pirate copy!
I respect people who do go for them, but it wasn't for me. We had better things to spend the money on too, that she could actually make use of when she was here.

We had one with ds2. It was brilliant and we could so tell he looked like ds1. We used Babybond. I'm not sure if the photos are still on my profile. If they're not i'll post some.

Here's my ds2 4d scan pic Hope it works.

Glad to be of help, I'm sure you won't regret it, I was buzzing for days after mine!

I had one at 23 weeks, which is early but I was too impatient to wait!

I loved it as did DH. I look at the pic everyday and DH has one on his desk at work. I agree they are much better than the hospital scans. We were able to see 'wriggler' yawn and suck her thumb etc, it was really clear and I don't regret having it for a minute.
