Hi,

I'm currently 25+4 weeks. Everyone keeps telling me I am HUGE! Although I know that everyone has an opinion on this and it's probably nothing to worry or even think about, it's my first baby and it has begun to concern me! I had my 25 week check last week with the doctor (midwife unavailable) and I mentioned this to her. She said all looked fine but I may have a big baby as I'm tall!! She didn't measure me and no-one has yet at all, other than at the booking appointment no-one has checked my weight either. Although I don't feel like I've put on much weight my bump is very big and I thought my weight would be checked?

Is this all normal? I thought they would measure and weigh me constantly!!

Thanks in advance!

I think they start measuring at your next appointment and plot it on a chart in your notes, i'm v tall and measuring small :S but people constantly tell me I'm huge!!!

I'm now 35 weeks and haven't been weighed since my booking in appointment - think they just did it then to check BMI was OK. I don't think anyone measured the fundus height until I was 28 weeks, or maybe later. Also, don't worry if they do measure you and your a bit big or small - the measurements are notoriously inaccurate from all that I've read, and apparently (accoridng to my sister who was measuring small) 3cm either way is normal (you're expected to be about the same in cm as you are weeks through the pregnancy). I was measured twice in one day last by two different people and got measurements 2cm appart last week!
