Had a MW appt today and she put head 4/5 now I cant remember if this is 4/5's engaged or 4/5's free and so no where near ready to come. This is the 4th pg so I blame the hormones

I am the same - I think it means 4/5s free. Confusing, innit?

JamieJay · 06/07/2010 20:46

I think it's 4/5 free.

Only because MW put 3/5 in my notes this morning (@ 36 weeks) where as it was 4/5 two weeks ago and she said baby was going in the right direction this morning!

4/5 free usually (tho i[ve heard that there are MW who work the other way round, just to confuse it)

Thanks everyone this is not good news. DC 2 and 3 had arrived by now so I was hoping DC4 would also oblige.
Right Im going to start with the old wives tales... Clary sage here I come (Why cant it be a nice smelling oil that supposedly helps?)

You can add lavender to clary sage to make it a bit nicer?

I think it's only first babies that have a clear progression in terms of engagement - subsequent pregnancies can engage, then bob out again, which is very common apparently.
