Anyone had 4 sections? Any comments and experiences etc.

My consultant does not seen that bothered but I'd like to hear peoples experiences as I am a bit nervous.

Thanks

I'm sure there are a few on here who have.

My good friend had her fourth last year. After the third, her consultant did strongly suggest no more but the fourth was unplanned.

She was very anxious throughout the pregnancy as a result, but the cs went without a hitch at 38 weeks. Good luck, and congratulations.

Ohh ok thanks!

I had my fourth on 39 weeks to the day, due to organs sticking to my scar and being cut away during my third I had a senior registrar for my fourth. They often suggest sterilisation during your fourth but it's not very reliable due to engorged tubes and they can heal together.

(knife to skin to baby out took under a minute!!)

my friend is having her 5th in is in her 29th week

Rafwife · 06/07/2010 11:44

Yes I have asked for sterilisation, I have been warned organs can stick and what not, but consultant is hopeful as I didn't have any issues last time, so hopefully I should be ok, time will tell!

I have an actual consultant doing mine, so hopefully should be ok.

5th wow!! Bet she is nervous!

Be careful sterilisation doesn't always work.

Rafwife · 06/07/2010 12:19

Yes, I will be he did write in my notes when I requested it, failure possible, etc, I hope not!

My sister had 4 sections.

She had complications during the final section and as a result can't have any more children.

She was in theatre a long time as she had a lot of scar tissue and adhesions but her dc4 was born healthy and my sister recovered well.

Thank, yeah I am going in with an open mind, maybe easy, maybe issues trying to be positive you know but fully aware there maybe problems but I don't want anymore anyway, so I am open to possible hysterectomy etc
