hi i know many threads have been done using this topic. basically i am roughly around 9 weeks pregnant(going by my last period date). today whilst at work i bled and though it wasnt a lot and i went to a&e i am still very nervous. I am trying to stay positive as most of what i read is saying that this can be quite common. I have not bled again and it was only the once and there was no clots. i guess i am trying to look for some reassurance especially as i will be a single mum and dont really know anyone who may have had this problem to talk to about?

Hello, Sorry to hear of your bleeding. I have bled with all my pregnancies. It is much more common than you think. FWIW I am currently 37 weeks and at 6 weeks with my current pregnancy I had to go to A&E in the middle of the night after a massive bleed. It turned out to be an implantation bleed.

I know it is easier said than done but try to take it easy and rest up.

Have you been offered a reassurance scan? Many EPU (early pregnancy units) offer them just to check all is OK.

hi, i have been given an appointment tomorrow at 9 am as they weren't able to offer me one today. I guess the time is basically a long wait for me and it was just really out of the blue. i didn't have any serious abdominal pain so i guess its not all too bad an have been told by the nurses not to worry. i guess you just associate it straight away with the worst because it just doesn't seem natural. I still have the other symptoms has i have suffered quite a bit with nausea and tiredness.

thank you, all went well baby was in the scan with heartbeat was bleeding next to the sac so they said to just keep an eye on the spotting but all else is fine feel very relieved that its not the worst and am hoping for the best now. reading all the things said on the forum really helped though!

Great news jellybaby, best wishes for the rest of the pregnancy, hope you don't have any mroe scares. I had bleeding at 5 weeks and 2 early scans, found heartbeat on 2nd one thank God. Still been worrying since then buthave 12 week scan this Thurs, fingers crossed all is well. Doesn't time move slowly when you're waiting for a scan eh...

all the best.

Excellent news. Really pleased to hear it.

Good to hear good news jellybaby.

I went for dating scan today thinking I was 10 weeks 5 days and was told I was 13 weeks and 5 days. This means I was actually pregnant when I had what I thought was my last period and had a bleed when I had what I thought was implantation bleeding.

I was also using ovulation predictor sticks after what I thought was my last period and detected a surge even though I now know in hindsight I was about 6 weeks pregnant!

Can't figure any of it out but not trying to too much. They said baby looks fine and that is enough for me!

Yeah is a huge relief though I'm still going to be concerned until I have the 12 week scan I'm going to wait till then until I make it public news as this as just scared ne a little. Had no bleeding since just a little spotting of anything which was leftover from the last bleed and the nausea is still present! Realisation has only just hit me that I saw the baby for the first time yesterday!

Good luck to you guys too especially for your scans and definitely agree is too long a wait though time hopefully will fly! Xx
