Successes after MMC . . . anyone?

I found out I had a MMC on friday, foetus stopped at 8 weeks I was meant to be 10. I am booked to have an ERPC tomorrow. I actually feel fine about the whole thing, could all change tomorrow! I have 2 other children so that obviously helps.

I was wondering though whether to try again or stay happy with 2. I know it's early days but how many of you who have had MMC were able to get pregnant again easily and managed to have a successful pregnancy the first time after? And guess just so I have the balance, how many suffered another?

I hope you don't think me intrusive or nosy, I just can't seem to find information anywhere on this.

Just wondered how knackered was doing now it's all over. Are you feeling better.

I read a fab book at the week-end called Miscarriage - what every woman should know - by Lesley Regan.

It's very good and answered alot of questions. It also made me feel more positive (even at 43 and after 2 MC's in a row ) Not sure how, but it did seem to make me feel better. I guess knowledge is power.

Take care.

Sorry for your loss. MMC are a horrible way to loose a baby (as are any MC of course).

The result of my pregnancy after a MMC (also baby No3) has just gone upstairs to run a bath! It took me a year to get pregnant again, but I was over 40. I was very upset after the MMC but it all came right in the end as wouldn't swap DC3 for anyone else!

Good luck if you try again.

Hi hippychick all is well thank you for asking A week on from my erpc and am swaying towards just keeping the 2 I have! I seem to have fallen a bit more in love with my daughter again (she's 5), and my son is being rather cute at the moment . .. . not sure you can improve on perfection (not that I'm biased or anything!). Will wait and see methinks! How are you?

loudlass - core blimey, guess this one is meant to be

lovechocolate - congratulations on your son

Glad you feel better. Yes i found that i kept looking at my DS's and thinking - wow I'm so glad they worked out well! I think it makes you really wonder at how you got it so right previously.

Whatever you decide to do I hope it works out for you.

I'm back in the saddle (so to speak )

Got a positive on an OPK 23 days after the MC started so am trying again. Found it a lot easier to get back to trying this time.

All the best chuck!
