Since I first missed my period I have had period-type pains in my lower abdomen.

My pregnancy so far has been normal apart from increased pain and a bleed at 10 weeks. However, I seem to have cramp type pains or twinges or muscle strains in my stomach for most of the time!

How normal is this? I know I'm worrying a lot, but it's more or less constant!

I have lots of stretches and twinges at 15 weeks, and had this first time round too. I think it's just uterus and ligaments stretching

As Bunnybaby said, it's just your uterus starting to grow. I've only recently stopped getting cramp (I'm 28 weeks) and as soon as they stopped, I started getting sharp pains which are my ligaments stretching. Great eh? hahal

Are you doing pelvic floor and transverse ab exercises? They can help support the growing bump better so that you get less pain.

My DD was in terrible pain up to 30 weeks. Diagnosed as ligament pain. Everything was fine.

japhrimel, am doing pelvic floor, but what's the other stuff?

Biscuitbreaker - I am finding exactly the same thing at 19w - have had spotting too at 5w, 6w, 8w, 12w...and then again today. Bloody hell! Midwife says it is just growing pains though! Hope that reassures you.
