I am 17 weeks with DC3. Just had an appt with midwife who says that a urine test I had back in Jan when I had a urine infetion and was not pregnant showed that I was carrying GBS. She did not seem too concerned and gave me a leaflet about it and told me that I would need IV antibiotics in labour. I was never tested with my previous 2, did I have it then without realising?.
Does anyone have any experience of this? I am worried having read the leaflet, seems quite serious and will the antibiotics affect the baby?

I had it and had the ABs with the 4 year old who is hanging around the door here... Don't worry in the least!

Me too with my second Dc. Had the AB's in labour and she's 3.6 now.
I too was worried about it though and Googled furiously, phoned friends who 'might know' etc, but it was all fine in the end. Good luck.

i had it with my ds, had the ab's during labour etc. no problems.

tested negative with dd but had the abs again anyway.

mw has told me this time that i wont need the ab's but will need to be monitored for a while after delivering.

really nothing to worry about
