Hi, I am pg with my 3rd (and most likely final) baby. It has been almost 7 years since I last had to buy a travel system and a lot has changed since then...not least the cost!

I have spent hours searching websites, and recently went into a baby shop, but am still unsure as to which to go for - though I am seriously considering the Streety Travel system (think it's by Maxi Cosi).

I would love advice from anyone who has bought/used this travel system.....

any other recommendations? I don't want to spend a fortune (so no bugaboo for me ) but am looking to spend around £350 max
thanks!

2nd hand bugaboo off Ebay

I picked one up for less than £350

I bought the Streety for my DD whilst I was pregnant, within 3 weeks of using it I hated it with a passion! It was really awkward to get up/down kerbs, the steering was pants and it kept collapsing on one side when DD was in it! The last issue was hopefully just a problem with mine though and they aren't all like this.

I got a M&P Joolz off ebay for £106, the seat and carrycot were brand new and the frame had light use. Yo can put the viaggio car seat on to use it as a travel system too. I love it, so much easier to handle and with chunky wheels and DD is nice and high up.

I've just ordered the Mothercare My choice for £325 - need to buy car seat and base as well though.

I thought it was fab and there are lots of reviews that give it 4/5 stars.

Looks a bit like the bugaboo too )

Good luck - this is my first and I couldn't get my head round paying more for a pram than my 1st car!

i bought the maxi cosi mura and love it, you do need a big enough car though, however everyone comments how manoverable it is, my friend spent several hundred on a mothercare one and she hates its very clumsy to put together and not very solid! got mine on offer an kiddicare website for £300ish

tanmu82 · 30/06/2010 16:52

mummybeth, how comes you got yours for just £325? I looked on the mothercare site and for the chassis and seat unit it came up to £375....
