Anyone found any good ones?

I can buy dresses etc online, but find jeans a bit tricky so would rather try them on (also heavier to have to post back).

Can anyone recommend a high street shop where I could find some maternity skinny jeans?

Thanks

You could try Seraphine if you are in London.

I spent a small, but worth it, fortune on J. BRand jeans from mama-la-mode. Online but excellent returns policy. They are fabulous, don't fall down, look great, and are otherwise perfection. IF you are on your first pregnancy it may be worth it.

Hi, I get TopShop maternity ones, I really like the fit,and as I'm tall they always fit in the leg - heres the link so you can have an online browse before going to the shops

Next, new look, dorothy perkins and matalan.

RobynLou · 30/06/2010 11:18

I like dorothy perkins

nunnie · 30/06/2010 11:18

I am also tall so restricted on where I can shop, new look and matalan are out for me unless cropped.

I bought a pair of skinny jeans from New Look and a pair of boyfriend fit from Next - I would also recommend Next Linen Trousers too

Topshop ones seem to be a good fit. I have bought some but am still in my normal Topshop baxters even at 17 wks as they are low rise and I have a small bump. The other pair I bought last week were non maternity denim jeggings from Dorothy Perkins, they are like normal skinny jeans but with an elasticated waist. I just got them in my normal size.

Gap, Gap, Gap, Gap, Gap!!! Seriously they are great (if you like over the bump!!)

PixieCake · 30/06/2010 14:58

Thanks everyone (and thanks Abi for the link). I'm going to write all these suggestions down and head into town on saturday. I hate trying on jeans!

Topshop definately they are really comfortable and come in skinny and bootcut amongst other styles! They are quite low though so can imagine expanding bump getting exposed if have the wrong top on.

mamas and papas for me, only bought one pair and lasted me 3 months so far!

Bessie123 · 30/06/2010 15:16

I got some great straight leg jeans from Zara a couple of years ago. Unforutnately, their maternity section is completely rubbish now, although it might still be worth a look.

Red Herring jeans are the worst I've bought so far. I spend the whole time pulling them up because they keep falling down and they are very poor quality. They weren't sewn together very well so the sides have split around the bump band, I've had to sew them back up myself.

japhrimel · 30/06/2010 15:18

I went to Mamas & Papas and the jeans are great but I wouldn't consider them skinny!

RooBear · 30/06/2010 15:25

oops didn't read the thread properly-they are not skinny!

LittleCedar · 30/06/2010 15:56

I've just bought Topshop baxter maternity jeans - perfect fit and so comfy but not cheap at £40 (especially as not sure they will last that long - I'm 18 weeks).

Also just ordered a pair of maternity skinny jeans online at Dorothy Perkins - reduced from £22 to £7! If they fit, I will return the Topshop ones.

LittleMissSnowShine · 30/06/2010 16:11

The jeans I got from Next for £6 in January sale (just to be prepared!) were totally crap after about week 23 or so. They're supposed to sit below your bump but they keep falling off me. Not a good look!!

My mum bought me a pair of Blossom jeans as a really lovely treat after my 12 week scan. Be warned, they are very pricy, but they take designer jeans and adapt them for bumps so you still get gorgeous quality, stylish denim which is fab and, unlike my crappy Next jeans, these ones have been great the whole way through pregnancy, from weeks 13-32, and I can see them doing me right up until the end and through another pregnancy. So if you want to treat yourself then check them out

H&M have a big selection instore, I got carpenter style over-bump ones for £30 and they are super-comfy, lovely soft denim. I roll the legs up and roll/fold the bump stretchy thing down.

I bought a skinny pair too but am returning as they don't suit me at all. I look like an egg on denim-clad legs with a big bum jutting out!

H&M rules for cheap maternity gear.

Mine came from Blooming Marvellous and were great

ASOS.com i found to be the best site for jeans, have bought both my pairs from there -and they offer free delivery an returns so u dont need to pay for those extra costs which i like!
