Hi Ladies, I was just wondering if anyone has suffered/is suffering with this? I was convinced I had it with DS but was waiting for somone to diagnose me without me saying anything...so it went untreated and I ended up with PND.

I have just been diagnosed with ante-natal depression at 15 weeks pregnant and have been prescribed Citalopram again, just got to wait 3 weeks for them to kick in

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to try and kick it quickly, I am obviously pregnant but I also have some, as yet unidentified, gall bladder issue which gives me gip and I am under a consultant for, DP has been made redundant and I hate my job!

Not looking for sympathy...just any advice if you can!

hi emma, a friend of mine had AND with both her pregnancies, controlled with drugs and she is ok now.

The only 'trick' I know is to be kind to yourself and take a bit of exercise each day. This helps the feel good hormones kick in. How about swimming or a nice walk?

Hope you feel better soon when the meds start to work.

Hi Emma, don't know much about AND but do know a bit about depression. As Jax says, taking a small bit of exercise a day and watching your diet can really help, avoiding sugar especially (I know, easier said then done!). Hope you start to feel better soon.
