Good maternity bras - recommendations for big boobs?

My bosum is massive I think Im 34E not pg and already I think I need about a 36F at least. They are so big painful all day and night time too. I need to buy maternity bras soon cos I think my underwires are cutting into me already and Im only nearly 5 wks pg!

They need to be really comfy and supportive, I got them from mothercare last time I was pg and they were really crap and not very supportive.

Any suggestions anyone? ta

Non wired, so comfy but also give shape! I've got a couple in black cherry and vanilla, which covers all wardrobe options for me.

Hot Milk bras are also pretty and give a bit of variety, and come in hefty bosom sizes. Not as good for shape as the Bravado ones IMO, but comfy.

(I've ordered from this place a few times, delivery is free and they're easy to deal with).

I also really recommend Bravissimo - went there when I first got pregnant and I've been wearing one of their bras every day since! I agree with EldonAve: if the bra fits properly, the underwire won't cut into you and will give you more support. Good luck!

You can wear underwired as long as they are properly fitted at Bravissimo, Rigby & Peller etc

Yes, defo try Bravissimo - I went yesterday and have been shocked at the change in my cup size. If its any comfort, my boobs went up masses in the first eight weeks and were also really really painful. They're still ginormous, but they don't hurt anymore than normal and seem to have slowed down (I hope!).

Bravissimo have checked with the royal college of midwives and confirmed to me that underwires only harm milk production if they don't fit properly. Make sure you phone in advance to book a fitting, and tell them you're pg, so you get someone who knows how to fit for maternity (slightly different prinicples). Also really recommend getting nightwear with support - that helped me masses when my boobs were painful

Another vote for Bravissimo - they're brilliant.

I am in Bravado bras. I am an E cup and they are really stretchy so will hopefully last as I get bigger, but also v supportive as they have a wide back.

They do come up quite high at the front, which is great for support - but they just look like a vest top so I wear them with dresses etc and it doesn't look like you can see my underwear.

Got fitted for it in John Lewis and then bought online where they were a bit cheaper.

I'm in a large but I think they also do an extra large.

Yep, another thumbs up from Bravissimo from me - I'm only 6+3, went in yesterday as my old bras were digging in, the girl was great, have gone up one back size and two cup sizes, to give me room to grow into them, and I am now sooooo comfortable! Does make me a 36HH though , DH said we can use them for hammocks in the garden when I'm done!

No reason at all not to wear underwires, just be comfortable and well fitted and you'll be fine!

Ooh, I also got some of their sleepwear with inbuilt support, need to help my poor sore boobs overnight. It's just a bit hot to be wearing anything in bed at the mo, let alone things that are insulated and padded

cordiality - fwiw, sleep bras are a godsend. I've got some from JoJo and adore them, especially in this weather as I can wear nothing but a sleep bra and pyjama shorts to bed and am still comfy.
