RooBear · 29/06/2010 13:02

24wks and knackered!

Bensmum76 · 29/06/2010 13:04

Only 5 weeks but feel sick as a pig....only ice lollies and salad seem to make me feel better!!

5DollarShake · 29/06/2010 13:05

35 weeks tomorrow - huge, tired, hot and with one giant swollen foot! Oh and a toddler who woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning.

Jacksmybaby · 29/06/2010 13:06

25 weeks (nearly) and SO glad the weather is cooler today after a "funny turn" yesterday!

RooBear · 29/06/2010 13:09

sorry to hear that jacks, hope your better today

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 13:13

i cant stop thinking about food either! Im at work now and all i have been doing all morning is clock watching to get to dinner time! - i have now eaten my dinner and wondering what i can find in my desk for pudding!!
35 weeks 5DollarShake u are nearly at the end of the tunnel! not that im hurrying this pregnancy along now i know whats at the end (2nd pregnancy). and i dont mean the labour part i mean the restless nites! My toddler gets up at 5:45am every morning now and it is driving me insane been as i work full time so cant even sleep when he sleeps!

Does anyone know what theyre having? Were having a baby girl which is lovely as we now will have one of each - my work is done! hehe.

what was your funny turn Jacksmybaby ? i have noticed such a difference having a winter pregnancy last time round - i am permanently hot and sweaty! wish i could come to work in my bikini!

YummyMummy my 3yo DS has been getting up at 5-something a.m. too!

Yesterday - standing in queue at post office, suddenly started pouring with sweat, felt sick and dizzy and thought I was going to faint. Think it must just have been the heat but it was quite scary.

We are having a girl this time too so will also have one of each.

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 13:24

aww thats nice, it has made it all worth it now (total accident pregnancy - we have sold everything from last time around!) now ill have a little boy and a baby girl. altho i wouldnt have minded a boy either, just nice to know what it is!

I passed out whilst on holiday in my first trimester last time. luckily OH was there to catch me as i had never passed out before so didnt even see the signs just felt awful. i nearly passed out a few months bak this time altho now i know the signals i went to lie down and it passed.

must have been scary that happening in a shop on your own? every time its happened to me luckily my OH has been there to catch me! Hope u were ok.

How are u coping with gettin up so early? i am literally a hazard on the road now, im falling to sleep everywhere im sure this isnt rite! He just will not go back to sleep after 5:45am! we got a slight liee in thismorning - 6:15! altho i can hardly believe it has got to the stage where 6:15am is a lie in!

Jacksmybaby · 29/06/2010 13:29

Thanks. I was with DS so my main concern was what would happen to him if I fainted!

Not coping with the early mornings at all, DH has been getting up for most of them, bless him!! Know what you mean about 6 seeming like a lie-in!!

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 13:31

well u r so lucky your DH will get up with him! mine doesnt! he just lies in bed sleeping whilst i have to get up and do breakfast - even tho we both work full time and he leaves the house earlier than me which to me makes sense for him to be up as im up for 3 hours before i even start work!

9+3, still suffering with spotting (almost 2 weeks now). Had a scan last week and all was fine, however I am feeling rather down about it all and mw has just advised to monitor the situation.

Still feeling sick and have very sore boobs, so I suppose that's good. I am hoping I will feel more cheerful tomorrow.

maxpower · 29/06/2010 13:36

13 weeks, lying in bed with a cold. I'm hoping that once the cold has gone, I'll rediscover some of my energy!

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 13:39

oh how i dream of lying in bed!

Rocklover sorry u are having a stressful time.

clairejs · 29/06/2010 13:47

38 weeks and the end is nigh! lol :D generally been ok, heat is unbearable yet i know its not forever tho the impending thought of swapping pregnancy woes for parental woes (sleepless nights etc) are slightly daunting!

will all be worth it in the end! or so i keep reminding myself whenever i do catch a glimpse of my club feet!! hehe

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 13:53

i know when you get to that point where you are so close u just want it to be over - or i did first time round!

Try a bumpy drive - i went into labour next morning altho maybe that was a coincidence, i have fun telling people to try it tho!

uv done 38 - whats another 2 eh?? im trying hard not to rush this pregnancy as it made time go so slow, this time round having a toddler to distract me seems to have sped things up a tad!

Am 22 weeks and I just want to be at home! On my own in a hot office today and am even more tetchy and short-tempered than usual with silly requests. My MIL told me recently that when she was pregnant in the summer of 76 with my DH, she went off at six months and just lazed around in the garden eating ice lollies. They just used to kick you out of work in those days, and whilst I am glad maternity laws are better now, there is a bit of me that wishes I could already be off. Sorry all, am a whingey girl today

EmMinty · 29/06/2010 13:56

I'm at 16 weeks now and feel soooo much better!!!!! Can't believe just how bad i did feel. After being desperate to be pregnanti was so sick i no longer care. Started to feel better at 14 weeks and nowfeel more like my old self.

Not felt faint. Fainting might have been a relief from nausea!!!! Was totally consuming. People think u should just get on it with it!!!until you've been through it you can't know how bad it is!!!!!

maxpower · 29/06/2010 13:58

I was heavily pg in the summer of 06 which was boiling so I sympathise with those of you nearly at term. Good news is, it's supposed to be cooling down during the rest of the week.

Yummy, I've only got the luxury of lying in bed because DH is off work so he's entertaining DD. Still makes me lucky though!

Hazeyjane · 29/06/2010 14:02

38 weeks, having c-secion next Monday.

I am hot, overtired with ankles the size of watermelons, and a constant feeling that dc3 is headbutting my pelvis trying to get out!

Dd1(4) is excited, but very clingy (screams every time I go into a different room, 'Mummy I lost you!!!!!') dd2(3) has become the worlds biggest TV addict.

BUT one of my best friends, just took me out for cake, because it is my birthday today, which was lovely. And I can't believe that next week I will be having a little boy, and my lovely family will be complete - so I guess I am pretty happy

clairejs · 29/06/2010 14:05

LOL YummyMummy1208 prob one of the better attempts i've heard to encourage labour! but you're right, another two weeks is a doddle! I dunno how some mums like yourself manage pregnancy with a toddler in tow! phew..hard work!!! major respect from me!

redbird79 keep your chin up i think there is too pressure today for women to remain in work for as long as possible, especially if you were like myself the main breadwinner, you're over halfway now tho! You taking maternity leave early? or not yet decided? x

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 14:08

i know how u feel redbird i had friday and monday off (i work in a hot office also) and its given me a taster of what it could be like to be off work! Altho i know i will be desperate to get back to it after 4 or 5 months rite now i just want to be at home on my sofa! Even if it does mean running around after my 2 year old!

maxpower Im beginnin to think im doing something wrong here - my OH never gets up with DS1 - the main reason - apart from him being lazy(!)- being DS1 wont let him feed him and just is so clingy to me that he just ends up moaning he wants mummy all the time which makes me feel super guilty lying upstairs in bed listening to him shouting mummy at the stairgate. So i just get up anyhow!

Well i am 7wks + 3 feel sooooo sick and super tired! Hope it doesn't last too long

YummyMummy1208 · 29/06/2010 14:45

clairejs well we had tried lots of them, this was the last attempt and it was 3 days before my due date so could have been due to happen anyhow but i will never know! we will be trying it again this time round!
I have major respect for myself - and all the other 2nd+ time pregnancies out there, its such hard work, i am iterally falling to sleep every day. Hard work to even try and manage 7 hours sleep with a toddler who hates sleeping! Im just wondering how will i cope after baby has arrived?!
