I got chicken pox last week at 25 weeks pregnant. Took Aciclovir and now recovered. Temp got up to 38.5 a few times but only briefly as took paracetamol.

Doctor, midwife and hospital have all assured me that the baby will be fine and he had a strong heartbeat when I was right in the middle of it.

But.... he was kicking like mad from 22 weeks but now, at 25 weeks post-pox he's much much quieter.

This is my first baby, so I don't know if it's normal for him to kick a bit less now (DH says maybe he just has less room). Midwife says as long as he kicks 10 times in 24 hours all is fine.

I know they're probably right, but I still can't help but worry when I don't feel as many kicks, nor such sharp ones.

Any reassurance would be greatly welcomed!

If you are worried phone the midwife and get checked out, much better to be reassured than spend hours winding yourself up. If it helps I had a real lack of movement with DD1 and was told (after monitoring) to put a sticker chart on the fridge and stick a star on it for every movement - as long as there were 10 in 24 hours then all was well.
