Hi ladies just a quickie. Noticed over the last three or four days (am 9+3) that I have a really horrid taste in my mouth all the time. I think its fairly common but just wondering if it goes at any point cos everything (even water) is tasting funny. Its typical, get rid of the sickyness and now have this yacky taste. Oh the joys of pregnancy..........

Hello, can't help with when it goes away (hope it does) but I've had similar horrid sour taste for most of the 1st trimester...

Hi i am 14 weeks now and the horrid taste disappeared about a week ago.

Hermya321 · 28/06/2010 22:05

Oh yeah I had that as well, I couldn't drink tea as it tasted like soap.

I nearly died of tea starvation, fortunately it went away soon after the first trimester.

yes, mine went at about 13 or 14 weeks, along with the nausea. Tea tasted horrendous, and I've only had a few cups since the sour taste went.
It made everything taste odd, and the aftertaste of food was awful. One of the best days ever was when I sat and ate my first meal without any nausea and without any yucky taste

vmcd28 I know what you mean about the after taste of food. Its nasty lol But its good to know that it does go eventually

Nope still got it at 37 weeks. Has made everything taste pants. Even worse after cleaning teeth and have to constantly chew strong minty gum to get relief.

Everytime I start worrying about the pain of the birth, I tell myself 'ahh but that taste will be gone'!! Can't bloody wait!!
