Please say something to make me feel better about SPD?

I recently got the diagnosis, I really can't move around too much without discomfort and I'm anxious about making it worse, I'm suddenly nervous about the labour and birth.

I've seen the hospital physio and seeing an osteo privately but I've just started, i can't really get comfortable as I also have coccyx pain and it makes it difficult sitting also.

I feel a bit fed up about limiting my mobility, I'm on the sofa now looking at my housework! and need cheering up/positive stories/advice anything really!

Thanks in advance

It really does go away after you've given birth.

how far through your pregnancy are you?

LooL00 is right and it really does go away after you have given birth!

i had it in both my pregnancies - although significanly worse 2nd time round with ds - i ended up on crutches and couldn't push dd in her buggy!

i got my physio to refer me for hydro therapy both times and this really helped..plus it was so lovely to float in a warm pool for half an hour 3 times a week!

i pressume you also have the giant bandage and the support belt...they are both v ugly but well worth it as they seem to hold everything tighter together and help aliviate the pain a bit.

other than that - put your legs up and know that it will all be over v soon and is all in a very good cause!

Ummm, going to contradict slightly. It DOES go away after you give birth. Might not be for a while though; mine didn't resolve until about 8 months pn. Sorry, I knwo you wanted to feel BETTER but I felt furious with all those people who told me it went away as soon as one gave birth.
