Strange rash... can anyone help?

I am 31 weeks pregnant and have developed a rash over my back of calves, front of thighs and today on my bump.

It doesn't itch, is non blanching and looks like dark pinpricks. The rash is symmetrical and started on my calves about 4 days ago.

It def is not a heat rash (as have that in arms and is quite different). I feel generally under the weather and the bump s pretty uncomfy in my back and sides but i don't think this is related.

Can anyone shed any light or has had anything similar?

I don't know what it is, but any non blanching reddy purple rash needs to be seen by someone, even if you are fine.

May be nothing/virus etc. But it needs to be seen. So see MW or GP or walk in centre today.

It could be a purpuric rash, which is non-blanching, in response to an allergy, I suffer from it regularly. But I would still get checked out by your GP to ensure that everything is ok.

i would def go to GP. i thought I was getting allergic reaction to something - turned out to be scarlet fever. it was a purpley 'sand-paper' rash.

The GP called me on the wrong number so still none the wiser. Def not scarlet fever a not even bumpy let alone sandpaper. Maybe a purpuric rash because on close inspection the pinpricks are def reddish brown rather than purple... still feeling a bit crook but nothing really serious.
