DW has THE WORST cold poor thing. Riddled with snot, constant headache, wracking cough, etc. etc. She is taking Paracetamol but it worried because she has been taking it for 5 days. Sniffing Olbus Oil to help blocked nose as well. Does anyone have any other suggestions/remedies to help alleviate her suffering?

make sure she is taking some homeopathic hayfever stuff. i had nasty headcold earlier this week, which when combined with hayfever was just dreadful.

TBH I wouldn't waste your money on homepathic preparations - no evidence they help or have any active ingredients.

Paracetamol is considered fine in pregnancy, so as long as she's sticking to the guidelines, that should be fine. But if she's not getting better, might be best to contact the GP anyway.

I found facial massage (to ease sinus pressure) and leaning over a basin of hot water with Vicks helpful.
