I've just had a show -- how long now?

39 weeks yesterday and think I just lost my mucus plug -- when I stepped out of the shower I noticed a globule of yellow jelly in the bath about twice the size of a 50p piece.

I'm desperate to get this baby out because it's so damned hot! How many days/weeks before you went into labour did you lose your plug?

Hmm that sounds like just a bit of your show actually. The main thing is really quite big. My waters went 2 days after the first bit. Any pains or anything?
Nikkisbump had a similar thread on Friday and had her baby yesterday morning :-)

Yes, I just saw that thread!

No, no pains yet, though the baby's head is fully engaged. I've been thinking the same thing TBH -- that it's probably just a bit of it, not the whole plug. Darn. At least I know things are progressing, however slowly.

Yes it's definitely progress! Hope you don't have long to go! Make yourself go for a big walk today.

Well it's all going in the right direction isn't it? Could be hours, days or a couple of weeks even. But you're definitely having a baby in the next few weeks.

Just do whatever you feel like doing. Don't feel you have to bring anything on or wander for miles with sore feet in the heat.

It's fricking miserable when you're due during a heatwave. I vividly remember sitting with my feet in a bin of water and ice and crying.

Oh god yes -- yesterday had my feet in a cold bath after a day of putting up IKEA furniture (mad nesting going on in the beanlet household!). Such a relief.

Hiya, I had a show after sex on thursday night. I am now 40+2. Last night, I spent all day active, and bouncing on my birthball for two hours. I think my waters went?
I've had a warm tiny trickle of water, whenever I go to the loo, or squat?
Thought it was my bladder that kept emptying.
But it is nearly 24hrs later and still doing the same!
I see the midwife in the morning, so hopefully she will let me know if it is my waters.
Didn't take this long with DS 1, but didn't have a show then?
Fingers crossed for us x
