Canesten in pregnancy - can I use 10%

Hi, I've done a search on here and seen lots of people been prescribed with canesten in pregnancy. I have thrush and can't get to docs for a few days. Have been using canesten 2% for a couple of days and it's def easing but I want to be sure to get rid of it. I bought the 10% pessary today and am not going to use the pessary beause of the baby buy is it okay to just remove the cream from the pessary and apply it with my fingers. Am not asking whether the using fingers is ok just whether using the strong 10% cream is okay at 15 weeks pregnant. Anyone who knows I'd be ever so grateful.

I used it and had no problems. i used the (carefully inserted) pessary too.

My GP said the cream was fine, but do not use the pessary.

thanks both. The instructions say use at night so I will do it tonight. Maybe I will put the pessary halfway in so it gets in the right place but doesn't knock the cervix or anything. Thanks again. It is driving me crazy.

i was prescribed the pessary cream and the tablet thing. was told to be careful when inserting. Im 31 weeks preg with twins (so high risk for early labour) and i was fine with both.

I was prescribed the 10% cream and a pessary. My gp said they're all fine except for the oral tablet. Just be careful inserting the pessary, but that's just common sense really.

Just in case anyone wondering, I spoke to GP today and they said fine to use pessary and that it is no more disturbing to the area than having sex which is also fine.
