May I ask if you ladies have had an increase in discharge towards the end of your pregnancies?

I am 35 weeks and today it was very thick, however some days very watery. I am a Little concerned. Am I abnormal?

Can't really remember, but I do know you get increased discharge generally when pregnant

Could it have been a 'show'? (Bit of the mucus plug)

VirtualPA · 26/06/2010 20:33

I don't think so, This is my first child so I don't have any experience at all, but there was no blood or anything.

By the way, I love your name. How I wish I had thought of it first

Cheers, it's a favourite story in our house

I am also 35w pregnant - am getting varying amounts/types of discharge... as long as it's not itchy or smelly I don't tend to think about it. Just part of pregnancy (the joy )

The 'show' isn't always blood-stained at first, btw - more jelly-like in substance and 'blobby' (TMI there for you )

yes i had that with mine.

if its smelly or itchy you should ask gp.

sorry re typing and brevity, babe in arms

Thank you ladies, I'm such a worrier. For some reason I think the baby is going to be early!

Normal to be anxious at this stage with #1! You're never quite sure what you're looking or feeling for... every twinge you sort of think "Is this it?" (IME anyway!)

How are you feeling generally? What did mw say at last appt?

VirtualPA · 26/06/2010 21:22

Generally I feel okay, Very uncomfortable though with sleepin etc and I have a constant backache. How are you findin it at this stage?

MW said everything looks okay and baby is head down

Am not sleeping well, can't get comfy

Very achy all the time

Otherwise well

Head down is good! Mine is in right position too... bring it on, I say - I've had enough of being pg!

princessProudmel · 26/06/2010 21:33

I did loads.
In fact I went to see the MW a few time s and she sent me into labour ward to check my waters hadn't gone. But they hadn't, it was just extra stuff! She said it could have been urine sometimes too. Great!
